Spot on inner thigh - very very painful

So embarrassing predicament but here goes...

So for the last 3 days I’ve had what seems to be a spot appear on my inner thigh. It hurts like hell and it’s literally the bit where your thighs touch so walking is quite literally a pain!!! I managed to squeeze it gently and a bit of blood and pus came out, I put tea tree cream on it and a plaster to cover it up. Well that was 2 days ago and it’s been weeping pus and blood ever since. I can’t avoid it rubbing otherwise I look like John wayne lol!!! But the pain is indescribable it hurts sooooo much and brings tears to my eyes... this evening I pulled the plaster off for a soak in the bath and the pressure in pulling the plaster off slowly made it hurt/burst again!!!

It’s now got a massive red ring quite a way out from the actual spot and a bit of swelling... has anyone got any advice as I’m a bit scared to be honest!!

I’ve got one like this but it’s on the top of my leg, where my underwear rubs. I wear tight jeans and gym wear so that doesn’t help. It’s very very painful and red, I’m going to leave it for now and see if it sorts it self out ( I’m hoping that’s what it will do!) x

Can you get to an out of hours GP service? It could be infected and you need antibiotics

SandunesAndRainclouds · 18/10/2018 22:05

You need to post this in sporners corner!

Hot flannel and mag sulph is what you need.

speakout · 18/10/2018 22:10

Sounds like a boil.

You may need antibiotics.

NoNoCharlieRascal · 18/10/2018 22:12

With the red ring and swelling I would want to get it seen, it could be infected and need treatment.

Dawsonforehead · 18/10/2018 22:15

I had this and it was an ingrowing hair, who knew that they could be so painful

tumpymummy · 18/10/2018 22:46

I think we need a photo

EmeraldVillage · 18/10/2018 22:47

Photo in sporner’s corner is your way forward here

Branleuse · 18/10/2018 22:54

Pics or it didnt happen

BerylStreep · 18/10/2018 23:44

Draw round the edge of the ring and see if it spreads, but it sounds infected.

BusterGonad · 19/10/2018 08:12

We definitely need a photo!

holidaylady · 25/10/2018 09:04

How did it go? Did you get it sorted?
Hope you are ok

mummytoc · 25/10/2018 22:11

Hi holidaylady, I stopped replying as I received some weird answers to my op Confused it’s fine now, just a spot I think, all has healed nicely, no infection, antibiotics needed
