Any advice to help my little one?

My DD 8 had an accident on Saturday where she really hurt her neck. We went to a and e and they took it very seriously and were brilliant. She had x rays so we know nothing is broken. They said it is a bad strain. She is still in so much pain and cannot move her neck at all. She has medicine every 2 hours and is in agony when it is wearing off. Is there anything we can do to help? She has missed a couple of days at school and even if she is there she is having constant medicine

Why don't you try a hot water bottle to ease the pain and relax the muscles and then give it a VERY gentle massage x

Nurofen may help any inflammation. I find the wheat filled hot packs easier to use on joints as flexible and a bit more of a gentle heat. You can get deep heat stick-on pads for adults which last all day , not sure what age they are recommended from.

I have given her a teddy heat pack thing and she finally went to sleep about 9. She struggles to get comfy because all the pillows are either too flat or too high
