Anyone know if there is anything I can take at all. Ive got a very bad head cold, with a constant streaming nose and sore throat.
Is there anything I can take to help ease it.

Thanks

Paracetamol. Simple linctus. Blackcurrent throat pastilles. Hope you feel better soon.

No decongestants, sorry, they'll affect your milk supply.

Take a thermos and fill with some weak tea without milk, add sliced fresh ginger, 1/2 tsp coriander seed and honey. Lemon juice if you like as well (I prefer without). Let it stew a little and then drink. It's very soothing and the ginger and coriander help clear the head and chest a bit. If you have no coriander seed then put 4-5 whole peppercorns in.

When you top up the thermos you don't need to replace the ginger and coriander, they'll do for 2-3 brewings.

I risked the odd sudafed I'm afraid, and it didn't affect milk supply, but then it did little for my exploding head either!

i found that a hot toddy and a hot bath usually sorted me out.

Hot Toddy: Scotch Whisky,Boiling Water, sugar.

Pour a large measure of scotch into a mug or heat resistant glass, pour on boiling water amd add 1 spoonful of sugar.

Drink while soaking in a HOT bath.

This should sweat it out of you.

Wow! Make sure there's someone around to pick you up off the floor when you get out of the bath!
