Week four of being ill.. how many more symptoms?!

I am now entering the fourth week of being ill. It's not seeming like one illness though it's more like a cluster of them attacking me!!

Week one: started off as tonsillitis, then I developed what I thought was a cold, but it turned out to be the flu. I've had my flu jabs so I was pissed off!

Week two: flu continues. Symptoms worsen, then slightly improve.

Week three: flu symptoms mostly lifted apart from headaches etc. I have some other symptoms too, see a family friend who used to be a doctor who says Sinusitis. Great! So I try to get a GP appointment but they won't offer me one as it's not an emergency and I have fibromyalgia so I "see things a lot worse than they are" which is what I got told after a 3 minute phone call, even though I fainted due to having hot flashes and keep waking up with awful night sweats, even though my room is freezing!!

Week four: I wake up to bloody tonsillitis again! How is this fair! So on top of the arse end of a flu and a sinus infection, I now have double tonsillitis!! Sad my face is all swollen and I feel like I can't speak.

I know I have it a lot better than most people and I know it's not a huge problem in the grand scheme of things but I'm so frustrated, I'm behind on my work and having to cancel commitments which I hate! And most people just think it's a cold Sad I've been drinking clear fluids, taking painkillers when absolutely necessary, resting etc etc but I'm still bloody ill! Don't know what else I can do except have a moan and thank you for listening - sorry it's soooo long Blush

Vitamin c and zinc - fizzy tablets - good for low level immune weakness type infections.

Sounds like you need some antibiotics and pain relief. I would go to the out of hours.

Me too OP, I was definitely ill on 15/9 as I cancelled something, and again on 29/9.

I now have a nasty chest infection, my asthma is dreadful and to top it off I have developed a kidney infection.

Started with a really nasty cold. I am permanently sweaty and clammy with sweat running down the small of my back 🤮.

I've been almost overdosing on Vit C Grin (not literally)

It's awful isn't it?! Ahhh I hate wasting NHS time but I really think I might go to the walk in centreSad I feel so pants I could cry

Went to the walk in centre...
Tonsillitis, flu, chest infection AND a sinus infection - aren't I lucky!
