Can I take echinacea while b/f???

Hi,
Does anyone know if I can take echinacea while I'm still breast-feeding? DD and I have both had a couple of really bad colds on top of each other and I'm fed up with it!!!!

I took it while feeding and was told by my GP at the time that it would be ok, but if you are unsure check with a herbal practitioner (yellow pages or internet)- my last bf stint was in 1996 and advice seems to change every year, so I'm probably out of touch!
I've had a quick look on the web and there don't appear to be any further contra indications other than you should only use it for short periods of time and in small quantities, a _good herbal practitioner should be able to give you some clear advice for free.

I didn't take it either time (rather more recently than 1996!) as I think I read on the box that I shouldn't! Not sure why I took any notice though as I ignored most other things that I shouldn't be doing
