Pains in legs when walking?

more so the right, but when i walk for more than few mins its really painful and achy?
now i have just bought some diff shoes whicha re flatter than other but had them good few weeks now, i know flat slip ons are no good for me but these are not 'that' low?
i have to walk everywhere due to my job but its really sore and embarressing as i keep having to stop and wiggle foot..its like a painful tightening of the calf muscle..any solutions or ideas?

It might be nothing to do with your legs as such, eg a heart condition - go see your gp.

do you smoke?

intermittant claudication or something,but usually older folks get it.

OH MY GOD!

no i dont smoke bt am overweight and guessed it may be combination of flat shoes and carrying too much weight!

Sure high heels would be much worse. My aunt had a heart condition which made her legs ache when she walked even a short distance. But I'm sure aching legs can be caused by a great number of things, so don't panic unduly. Heart prob may be worst case scenario. My aunt died of a heart attack aged 60.

i used litchen towel in back to prop up temporarily yesterday and smed better?, but is slippig around today, will see if i can get something to 'fix' into shoe to act as a raise for me heel??
