Very stiff joints and random pains in joints- it takes ages to get going in the morning. I have a permanently sore elbow, hip pain etc So thinking it was ‘use it or lose it’ I started yoga before the summer. It seemed to help at first. But even though I try to stretch outside of the class things have not improved. Today I should be at my class but randomly out of the blue I turned quickly at work and twisted my knee and I can’t bend it I have been to the GP recently and had tests for inflammatory markers - came back negative. But am 52 so menopause could be to blame. Told to take Glucosamine or similar which I do but it’s not really helping. Is there anyone else in a similar position? Is HRT an option ? Would love to hear from people who’ve got past this!

Heya. Just seen this and want to send you Flowers. It’s a horrible horrible symptom and in my experience, definitely a symptom of hormones depleting/going nuts.
I found the only thing which really helped is HRT - it works really well in my case. Occasionally, it comes back a little but always temporarily. I also try hard to exercise and keep my muscles strong, take good-quality magnesium/D3 supplements, drink lots of water and use Epsom salts in my bath.
I hope you can get it sorted as it really affects quality of life...
