How long did it take you to recover from major surgery?

I’m curious......

I had major endometriosis excision 12 weeks ago on my bowel and a section of my vagina removed.

I’m better but wouldn’t say 100%

Curious to know others recovery times? X

Will totally depend on the surgery, plus other mitigating factors such as how fit / well / strong you were to start with, and how determined / lucky you have been with recovery / exercise / following advice.

C section - able to walk and move easily straight away without much in the way of pain. 5-6 weeks I was fully better. I did have a minor infection but nothing much.

Keyhole gallbladder removal (I don't think that counts as major surgery though?) very painful recovery and was still unable to move much a week after the op. After an infection, it took 8 weeks to properly get better.

While it sounds my surgery was less major a couple of hours after a lap to remove an ovarian cyst and endometriosis from the bowel I was comfortable and able to walk about. I had points of struggling with symptoms eg diarrhea and being tired but I feel these had significantly improved after six weeks. What sort of symptoms are you getting? B

@Jellyjumpers- I should start off by saying I suffer from bad anxiety any pain worries me. I get pains where they removed the golf ball size lump of endometriosis and it makes me think the pain is back.
Also I find my muscles in that area tense up more than usual. My bowel isn’t right but I was warned that it may never be x
