Have eye infection, how can I sterilise my eyeliner brush or will I have to bin it?

Have a lovely spacenk block eyeliner brush that i adore and it cost a fortune

Now i have used it with eye infection will it have to be binned or could I boil it?>?

ah it is synthetic (is the laura mercier one) so I guess i could boil it??
