Discontinued contact lenses for astigmatism

After wearing my ideal lenses for the past 6 years, they’ve discontinued them due to some people having problems. I’m gutted as they’ve been so perfect. I’ve been given some new ones but they’re dry and uncomfortable despite being told they’re the ‘best of the best’. I’m needing to remove them at 3pm whereas my previous would be comfy all day.

Can anyone recommend any I can check out? They’re toric ones for my moderate short sightedness.

Oh I hope they're not the same I have :(

Sorry I can't help but following.

I have Coopervision Biofinity toric and they are great, I wear them 7am to 11pm most days, no dryness.

I hope not too Ek, I didn’t appreciate how good they were as they were so good I didn’t really ever notice I was wearing them!

The ones I was using were prescribed by Boots in 2012 and I got them on the monthly scheme. Then at Christmas they said that due to some users suffering with something called (I think) GPC, they were stopping them, but that as I’d worn them safely for years I wasn’t at risk of that). They game me some others which were awful, I couldn’t even keep them in an hour, so I went to Specsavers who initially said they’d be able to get the original ones but then they couldn’t. And I’ve not been able to track any down online. The ones I have now are ok, but I can always tell I’m wearing them, and as soon as I’m back from the school run I have to take them out as they feel dry.

I’ll ask about those, thanks Meet Star
