dosulepin and breast feeding

Hi I am on this and Dr does not think it is safe with breast feeding , where can I find information to give dr that will convince?

It is a tricyclic AD.

According to the BNF the amount in breastmilk would be too small to be harmful but that manufacturers advise not to take them - ie probably safe but the drug companies aren't willing to take the risk of saying so. I know someone who is on amitriptylline and BF (very similar drug) and it could be argued that these type of drugs are probably safer than the newer ones like prozac because they've been in use for much longer and there are no proven problems with respect to BF.
