I have been happily typing away while DH is having a late breakfast and supervising kids. DD1 - 3yrs - has just pushed up a crayon up her nose and half has snapped. Should I take her straight to casualty, make her try and sneeze, squeeze it or what? must daash, DH and DD are frantic and want me to act now. Think trip to hospital is called for. Bugger.

katzguk · 24/08/2004 09:29

hopsital is best i'm afraid my sister did something simialr with a pearl when she was little, sneezed it out in the ambulance but they took her check nothing was higher up and couldn't be seen

Vould you try pushing it out from the bridge of her nose? i.e. working it down. I wouldn't try anything that may push it further up. Maybe your GP/nurse may be a quicker alternative to Casualty.

I think you could damage the nose & would def ring gp for advice & probably then take to casualty if you can't get it out easily.Good luck!
