Back pain after a fall

Hi,
On Thursday I managed to slip on water in my kitchen and fall. Since then I?ve struggled along hoping it would fix itself!
Its in the bottom of my back and I can?t sit up from lying down - I have to kind of roll. It also hurts when I sit. I haven?t been able to go to work as my job is very physical.
I?ve had to drive a few times and when I press the clutch I get the most awful pain shoot up the middle of my back.

I?ve booked a doctors appointment for later but feeling guilty about taking an emergency appointment from someone who really needs it.
Do you think I need to see a doctor or will they just give me pain killers and send me on my way?

Oh, I?m also 14 weeks pregnant.

Thanks

I think you do need to see your GP, if it hasn't eased since Thursday, then you need treatment. If your doc tries to give you painkillers, ask him/her to refer you for physio. You probably can't have an x-ray.

If you get no joy from the doc, then I would consider accupuncture. I had really bad back pain late in pregnancy, and 2 sessions of accupuncture sorted it. You must let your accupuncturist know that you are pregnant, but it is a treatment that is safe in pregnancy.

Hope you feel better soon.

Love then name, btw!
