Hello Has anyone any experience/ knowledge of PED (pigment epithelial detachment) in the eye? My mum (77) has had this spotted using a scanner at the optician's and all I am finding out from the Internet is that it seems vary rare (<1/1000) and you may be able to treat with drug injections. However all she has been told is to go away and come back in 3 months for a rescan. So they are observing its development I guess. There seems to be a chance they can repair with no treatment but in her case, with her age, I'm not sure if this is less likely. Seems more likely that it will badly affect her vision :( I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience? Also, I live 300 miles away from my mum, so I wasn't with her at her appointment. Thanks folks
