Is these aching legs at night to do with the virus?

Hi
My dd came home last Wednesday from school as had been sick once and then had a temperature and stomach ache but seemed better by friday.
I started to feel sick Friday and spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday feeling awful - so so nauseous, headache, skin hurt, no energy etc..... woke up on Tuesday feeling better but since then I have had light night sweats every night and have been woken by achy legs - like growing pains! They are so painful - able to fall back to sleep with ibuprofen but this morning they just feel heavy and old. Is this all related to whatever virus I’ve had do you think? I’m desperate to get a good night sleep again!

I’ve had muscle ache when I have a bad virus and I agree they’re awful. Along with night sweats it sounds like that’s what it is. My only advice would be to try to stabilise your temperature.

Thanks - it really is the only two things I have now - I feel fine in the daytime....taken magnesium and vitamin d tablets so fingers crossed this clears off soon....

If it's a consequence of the virus, it'll resolve spontaneously.

If it carries on for a while (I think the usual rule of thumb is 3 weeks or so), see your GP. Night sweats and aching bones/joint pain are symptoms which should be checked.
