Itchy dry flaky skin on head and back of ears

In the past month I've got a dry flaky scalp and bought some T gel to help with it. It's helped a bit it's not as itchy now. However today I've notice dry flaky skin behind my ear. It's a bit sore and itchy. Any recommendations for creams/ointments? Anything really that will help?

I get this and the only thing that helps is regular hair washing and not using any hair products at all. Even the slightest amount of serum or product will make mine worse. Keep using the T gel shampoo, it does help.

Sounds like Psoriasis. I have it behind one ear and the same side on my scalp. T gel did help to start with but I went to the GP and got Betnovate cream (think it's a steroid) and it works well.
