Just finished 2 weeks of Fluconazole 200mg a day for esophagus Candida which was found during a gastroscopy. Think I've had this for about 2.5 years lots of acid reflux symptoms etc and occasionally had thrush in my mouth which was treated with nystatin but obviously didn't work for my throat. So I'm wondering how do I know this is gone now? If anyone has had this please advise, my doctor who performed the gastroscopy just said the tablets will get rid of it. He also put me on Losamel omeprazole drugs for a month 20mg. I have also bought myself Acidophilus plus from the health shop to try and stop it reaccurring? Any advice if you have had this please!
