Itchy irritable eyes

My eyes are a bit sore, and streaming at times.

Don't think it's not conjunctivitis (have had that before and far worse than my eyes are now) but it is irritating.

Is this likely to be mild hayfever?

Yes, quite likely at the moment I would have thought.

poppy34 · 07/06/2007 21:10

sounds like it - I've been suffering for last couple of weeks and got some boots anti histamine eyedrops. Really helped

TheArmadillo · 07/06/2007 21:10

I would have thought it was quite likely.

HAve you tried taking an over the counter antihistimine?

There is a very high pollen count at the moment... two days ago was particularly bad... there are various kinds of antiesthamines.... I've tried them all and the one that suits me best is:

cetirizine hydrocloride

If you are to buy them but the generic ones not the brand ones as they are daylight robbery for the same product!

You will get better soon!

Thanks all.

Not tried anything yet. First time I've suffered really (have the odd sneeze).

Will get some drops on my way into work in the morning, and go to read the other thread.

Cheers.
