Possible stress fracture in foot?

Last night had terrible pain in top of right foot. Lasted 10-15 minutes. DH suggested cramp but it was a strong pain almost coming in waves. Eased off after about 15 minutes. Happened again this morning when I was putting socks on, about 10 minutes, then eased. It’s just happened again, standing at ironing board (are you impressed? Grin ).

Am overweight and don’t exercise as much as I should. Looking at pics of foot bones the pain seems to be where metatarsal joins lateral. Is a stress fracture likely and if so, do I need to see a doctor.
