Doctor has prescribed some diuretics but i dont want to be on them long term. Has anyone had any success with an alternative treatment? Get puffy ankles and swollen legs, better if I wera a support pop sock but cant wear those in the summer!

Bumpng for you triplets.

Has the GP said why you are retaining water? Do you have an underlying condition?

triplets · 05/06/2007 22:32

No,she has not said why. I first started when I was pregnant with my first born, 28 years ago! Then its when the weather gets hot and I am standing too long, its not a problem in the winter. Just worried as we are off to Cali/Arizona in the summer and its going to be hot!

That sounds good, do I buy it from somewhere like Holland and Barrett?

Do you drink plenty generally triplets?

I think drinking cranberry can be helpful, also vitamins B5 & B6. And I've just found a reference to dandelion leaf, cornsilk and horsetail. Not sure about those. And avoid salt as much as possible.

No I think I probably don`t drink enough to be honest, must attempt to drink more water, thanks.

I got mine from H&B - used it when I was pregnant with D3 on the advice of (lovely but very scary) midwife, although she wanted me to buy proper tea and not teabags and got herself a bit worked up about it.
