Can you sleep funny on your chest?

I've had a cold for about a fortnight now, it was started to get better but the last day or two my cough has been getting worse.

I felt grim today so had a nap for an hour when little went down and since I woke up a few hours ago my chest is really hurting, I can breath as well as any asthmatic with a bad cough but it really hurts all the time but worse if I breath or cough. The last time I felt like this I had pneumonia (mild)

I'm staying at my parents looking after their dog tonight so my nap wasn't in my normal bed.

Do you think (obviously I don't expect any to diagnose me over the internet) I could have just slept funny? If you think I should see a doctor it can it wait? I have an 18 month old a dog and no help.

It sounds like you need to see a doctor. Sorry.

Yes I would see a doctor, your chest needs listening to. A cold that worsens after two week and a sore chest definitely indicates the cold has triggered something else whether that is a viral chest infection (bronchitis) or a bacterial one (pneumonia etc) you will still need a doctors advice and possibly antibiotics. Leave the doggy at home for a quick docs appointment, bring the toddler with you (of course lol). I hope you feel better soon
