Hi all.
Well after a pretty use;ess referall to a consultant i have decided i must try alternative therapies for my poor ds's legs!
Still the only thing to clear it is fucidin H which i can obviously only use at times when it's really bad. The problem is, it's always wet and Doctors keep saying moisturise but it's always wet!
One G.P said that some people say evening primrose iol works but didn't commit himself and when i asked the consultant he just shrugged it off and said don't bother in a baby this small. But ds is now 9 months and i need to try something so does anyone know how much and also how to administer??

Don't worry that i'm going to take your word as the end, i will research and maybe go back to the Doctor who at least acknowledged it before i give anything to ds. I just want some advice if anyone's given it to a baby.

My DH takes EPO for his eczema and it has worked wonders. It has made him human again.
I once did a little research on the web with regards to giving it to babies and taking it while breast feeding because I wanted to know if a friend could use it too.
There was very little info on the web, but I'm afraid the little info I did find recommended not giving it children under 5 or taking it while BF.
That may just be a hyper-conservative opinion, but I think you should only give it to your DS if you get the ok from a pro.
There is no doubt that it works for some people, my DH being a prime example.
I hope you can convince your doc to be a little more proactive.
Good luck

Thanks.
My only option is to make an appointment with the same G.P who referred me to the consulatant and pleade with him. He's a very nice German Doctor, very open minded. Not like most.
