Has anyone here had breast augmentation?

I've changed my name for this because my family have no idea I'm considering having a boob job, and I think when/if they find out they will flip because they don't agree with cosmetic surgery.

I'm still in my 20s and 4 years of breastfeeding hasn't done my boobs any favours, and they sagged a bit before so there was never much hope for me! I have been thinking about doing this for about a year, am aware of the risks of rejection/infection but feel on balance I'm prepared to take the risk.

Not wishing to offend anyone as I know some people will think I should have bigger things to worry about (and I do) but I don't really see how it's any different from having your teeth straightened.

So, if you've had it done what are your experiences? How do you find a good surgeon in your area?

I had a breast reduction operation nearly 5 years ago. Had it done through the NHS as they were massive and causing physical and emotional problems!

Don't regret it for a second, however, thought that I would be having no more kids when I had it done, DS is now 15 months!!! Was great getting to start again with gravity, but wish that I'd had it done when def having no more kids, as now feel they could do with a lift (but won't be getting it done, one operation was enough)!!!!

Thanks star. Anyone else? I'm interested in how you decide where to go. There seem to be so many places and it's confusing. Is there any way of telling what you should avoid?

I also think I probably wouldn't get one on the NHS - what is the criteria for that?
