Ok ibs terrible periods abdominal pain needing a wee every 5 minutes horrific period pain and extended bleeding after years of being told by doctors to come back if.... I’ve had an ultrasound and I have ‘lots’ in ‘clusters’ as well as endometriosis.

Please if you have anything like the above please ask if you need one from your GP. I can’t believe I let myself be sent away for so many years.

And if you have fibroids n they cause all those symptoms but you’ve got better - how can I help myself?

Diet, exercise, supplements? I feel so fucking knackered.... I guess there’ll be a treatment I’m so worried that there won’t be and I’ll be trapped :(

I have horrendously painful and heavy periods. It also makes me need a wee constantly when I'm cramping. My GP thinks I have endometriosis but won't send me for a proper diagnosis as it is a surgical procedure. I was prescribed naproxen which has made a major difference. I take them for the first three days of my cycle with paracetamol. I used to struggle to sleep due to the pain but this stuff has resolved that issue and I can mostly get on with my life when on my period.

I would find another GP practice Delilah, that is a terrible reason for not sending you for a proper diagnosis. Pills do not always work indefinitely.

Oh Delilah that’s awful but I can really relate My now GP said “so you have these symptoms consistently for all these years and no one has ever suggested an ultrasound?”
:( it can’t save that much money just to know so we can try and help ourselves.
Try a different GP as Attila says

Thank you folks! We've been ttc for a few years and apparently my treatment options are limited to put up and shut up or go on the pill. The naproxen is doing its job for now so I'll stick with it. It's ok, I have the egg supply of a 45 year old at 33, so I can look forward to an early menopause 🙄
