Hyperactive on Tramadol

I'm taking Tramadol for back pain and they used to make me so sleepy I couldn't function for hours after taking one. I've been taking them for 3 days now, 2 a day, and I'm buzzing! This isn't supposed to happen is it?

Doesn't sound right - my friend was on them last summer and she was just a zombie full time.

That's how I used to be when I've taken them in the past. I guess I'm going to have to put up with it because it's hitting the spot and I'd rather be buzzing almost pain free than tired and unable to sleep with the pain.

Pain free def sounds the better option - keep an eye on your heart rate though. Piriton makes me buzz, but every now and then my heart feels like it speeds or skips or something... if that starts happening please go straight back to your doc!!

I haven't noticed my heart racing but I'll look out for that...thanks.

It's got me moving though - done 2 weeks worth of ironing

I got sooo much stuff done for my wedding before I noticed the heart thing

I still have days now where I wonder if it is worth risking it just for the buzz

weebleswobble · 03/06/2007 00:18

Probably not..you know, heart being quite an important organ lol
