will badger you on Monday.

gibberish · 02/06/2007 18:54

Put a reminder on your mobile misdee. I'll have forgotten by monday.

MiaWallace · 02/06/2007 18:55

I will try and remind you misdee. I've had two moles removed myself so I know how important it is.

Katymac · 02/06/2007 19:00

DD is off to see a consultant on Wednesday next week for a rampant mole - So I will try & remind you

misdee · 02/06/2007 19:17

I'll text you in the morning when ds leaves for school. Gives you about 20 minutes before you have to take your dds.

misdee · 02/06/2007 19:35

thank you pc!

i will leave early on monday to detour via GP to get an appointment booked.

PersonalClown · 02/06/2007 19:36

Not a problem! Ds gets picked up at about 8:10 am so I'll text as he goes.

gibberish · 02/06/2007 19:36

lol. Go into your calendar - you should be able to set an appointment and alarm there.

PersonalClown · 02/06/2007 19:39

I've set up my mobile so I won't forget either.

misdee · 02/06/2007 19:42

i think i have set it up, but never done it before lol.

gibberish · 02/06/2007 20:11

How big is it? Sorry, personal question!!

misdee · 02/06/2007 20:13

its about 2mm at iots widest i guess, non-symetrical, ragged, dark spot in middle, slightly riased.

OP posts:
gibberish · 02/06/2007 20:18

Hopefully shouldnt be a problem with it being so small I would have thought, but you are definitely right to get it checked out if you've noticed a change, even if just to put your mind at rest. Can never be too careful eh?

My dad has a HUGE mole on his cheek - getting bigger by the week - and will NOT go to the doctor about it. Typical bloke.

Katymac · 02/06/2007 20:22

Sounds jusy like DD's

The Dr said it was a junctional naevis - which is quite rare in children

But I can't understand the google site to make any sense of what that implies

misdee · 02/06/2007 20:29

no idea KM.

just want ti checked and possible removed for testing just to be sure. last thing ineed to do is leave it, kids are going through enough stress as it is.

Katymac · 02/06/2007 20:31

DD's Hospital appt came thro' in 3 weeks - which impressed & worried me

flightattendant · 03/06/2007 10:32

Bump so we don't forget! xx

P.S. do moles get bigger generally in pregnancy? I've got one that seems to have grown. I heard it could be hormonal?

yogimum · 03/06/2007 10:37

moles can change in pregnancy. Is it itching or bleeding. Any changes should be checked by a dermatologist. I had malignant melanoma when I was 23, luckily was in America and had treatment within a week. I've had others removed and they have been fine.

Katymac · 04/06/2007 08:29
