Anyone got any ideas/solutions for improving my "dreadful" complexion - major breakout.....

My complexion is appalling at the moment. I've got major blemishes/spots on both cheeks and I look dreadful. Haven't had breakout like this for years and years. Can't contemplate venturing out without concealer/foundation.......
Have been a bit stressy this week - dh is away on business (although back at w/e for 48 hours b4 going off again!). It's been halfterm and the boys (5 and 3) have been a handful.
Don't drink alcohol, healthy diet (been doing SW), pretty much vegetarian. I can only put it down to stress and lack of sleep. Does anyone have any miracle potions or products that they'd recommend, before I resort to a brown paper bag for the next couple of days.
TIA
mj

Water, water and water. I know it's pretty ovbious, but I find my skin is worse if I ahve not drank enough.

Thanks Dr Northerner! I'm drinking a large glass of water as I type (well not actually as I type, but it is here next to me!). I've set myself a target of 2l a day and see how I get on. I've also found some Clinique products which are for "problem" skin. Will see if dh can pick them up for me duty free - after all I could do with a pressie or two for looking after the kids for 2 weeks singlehandedly!!

Just looked at your profile, and you're about the same age as me - mine's gone pretty haywire too, and I'm wondering if it's a hormonal, run-up-to-the-menopause thing. Sympathies, but no solutions here, I'm afraid. I'm using the Garnier Pure-A moisturiser for blemished skin. Seems OK, but not a miracle cure.

As it's a recent, probably stress-related thing I'd say don't worry about miracle potions, they may even aggrevate it. Hopefully when things calm down it'll get better. With everything that's been going on you probably haven't remembered to drink enough water - I'm fine when I'm at work and the water cooler's in the next room, but at home there's always so much going on and I forget!

I found that taking Evening Primrose & Omega 3's work well for me. They do take about 2 months to begin to work.
funny enough Ive not had spots/blemishes for nearly 2yrs until this past 3/4 weeks. Once my period had come & gone was when I began to wonder what was up with my skin all of a sudden! Maybe its something in the air
