My son has been eating leaves of bushes

My son (5) has been eating leaves of bushes, an older girl (11) put him up to eat. He did not eat a lot.

Do I have to take him to hospital? Is eating leaves bad for you? And no, I dont know what bush, he was on a playdate with a friend from his class, and he just came home and informed me.

Feeling uncertain what to do. Any advise?

Hard to know unless you know what type of leaves he was eating.
I would ring NHS direct and ask them?

He ate Benweed, the other mum brought some over. I rang NHS direct and they told me to take him to A&E luckily it is only the flowers that are really toxic the leaves are not. Thanks.

Flamin heck. Glad they weren't toxic, I hope that girl has been royally told off.
