Perplexed by (my) black (now purple) eye

Yesterday morning I came downstairs (Dh was already up). He looked at me and said 'have you got a black eye?' I replied that of course I hadn't and immediately rushed to the mirror to see a feint black eye.

This morning, it's a purple below-and-above-the-eye swollen, can't go out of the house monstrosity. Question is, how did I do it? DD1 claims she saw me fall off the computer chair, a statement I immediatly poo poohed as I saw DH's finger about to wag and know I didn't. We had a 'she saw you did it', 'No, I didn't argument', which has resulted in dd saying 'I'm not talking about it any more'. So what on earth do you think happened? I'm really worried. Few things I know it's not:

1 Alcohol induced. I shared a couple of glasses of wine with dd1s parents on her birthday on Wednesday, so promised myself I'd save myself till next weekend.

2 Sleepwalking. Never done it.

Any ideas gratefully received. To top it all, I seem to have bitten the length of my tongue on that side, too .

Sorry it's long.
