My 8 week old is just recovering from chicken pox.She has been taking 3-4ounces of formula since she was a week old.She did start to take 5 ounces on some feeds but she just doesnt seem to want to feed now.She gulps down 3 ounces and then it is a real struggle to get anymore down her.She just plays with the teat.She feeds 5-6 bottles a day.She is such a happy baby and sleeps very well.She has gone through the night about 4 times in the last week so she must be getting enough.She has gained 5 ounces in weight a week for the last 3 weeks so she is fine.
Has anyone elses baby has=d chicken pox so early and does the appetite go?
I think if she carries on only taking this amount of feed then she wont continue to gain weight.
