ds2 (8) has been walking sort of like his right leg is wooden all day. he insists there is notjhing wrong with it and it doesn't hurt.

i have just been trying to check him out and asked him to stand on tip toes but he couldn't bear the weight on his right foot.

what could be the problem.

i am a bit paranoid actually as i once had a friend whos child was limping and it turned out to be serious!

My DD had a similar problem when she was 2 and it turned out to be irritable hip. She was unusual in that she suffered no pain at all but just started limping one day. She had x-rays, blood tests etc and it cleared up within a couple of weeks. It is apparently a post viral reaction. I wonder if it could be something like that?
