MDF Dust Dangerous???

I just had some cupboards built and the carpenters cut up the MDF they used in the garden. Unfortunately, I forgot to move my potted herbs and dd's beloved strawberry plant before they started. They were covered in MDF dust, which I hosed off, but now am beginning to wonder if I should just chuck these out--especially the strawberry plant. Or do you think a good wash is enough?

They'll be fine if washed.

MDF dust is dangerous when inhaled.
