Take DS2 to GP or not?

argh! This is obviously not my week. I spent several hours in A&E with Jamie just 2 days ago for a pulled elbow and now Jamie has had an accident in the garden, slipped on the lid of the sandpit and scrapped his back on the top step.

It looks so sore and I am a bit worried about infection and damage to his spine, but after screaming the place down for a few minutes, he was soon wanting to get down and is now back to playing and running around.

There are 2 pics in my profile so you can see (a bit icky mind). Would you go to the GP to get it cleaned up and checked over? I suppose I am more worried about the lump that the actually scrape, although with my ds having heart problems, I always worry about endocarditis, even though it is rare to get it and even rarer to get it from open wounds anywhere but the mouth.

think its just a graze keep it clean if it looking sloppy in couple of days go gp it should heal alright its understandable you are protective but little boys are going to have war wounds!

Wash his wound in the bath. I'm it will look a lot less scary tomorrow. Let him carry on playing.

Thanks! I have cleaned him up and have just given him some calpol. I have made a makeshift dressing for it, but have no surgical tape, so will pick some up and some gauze to keep it clean and stop the waistband of his trousers from rubbing
