harman see a doctor - sounds like some kind of infected stye - I had one on my eyelid a few years back and cos I coudnt resist poking it (yes I should know better) i ended up with a little scar and needed antibiotics to get rid of infection.

wurlywurly · 23/05/2007 19:32

squeeze it, poke it with a needle and squeeze it again. This is what you shouldnt do, but its definatly what I would do.

Lilliput · 23/05/2007 19:36

put a hot flannel on it, it might draw it out, then squeeze it

talcyoyo · 23/05/2007 19:38

Can i squeeze it for you?

How near is it to the eye?

Can you bathe it with warm salt water on flannel?

So many questions!

If in doubt....see gp

Kewcumber · 23/05/2007 19:40

yes see a doctor you shouldn;t squeeze anythign that close to your eye.

hayes · 23/05/2007 19:40

put cotton wool with hot water over it, I had a stye which sounds much like what you have. I just kept putting cotton wool dipped in hot water on it and it eventually popped, the relief was gorgeous

Probably a boil then

google 'boils'

i might have a look myself

chilledmama · 23/05/2007 21:19

Probably don't need to see GP but do need to see the pracrtice nurse. Try to resist the temptation of sqeezing...it may scar...I wouldn't be able to resist though
They will probably put a special bandage thingy on it which will draw it out...and hurt like a bugger for a couple of days (because of sensitive skin where it is). HTH
