****************Urgent contraception advice needed***********

I'm going away with new dp for the weekend, it will be our first time sleeping together. Due to coming off the depo injection and my next period not due until after the weekend, my only form off contraception is condoms, though I'm more than happy to use the condoms, I'm terrified in case they split, fall off, whatever, basically if I get the morning after pill next Monday, I come back from weekend Sunday, will I still be protected, having had sex from Friday to Sunday? I'm just worried that condoms alone wont be enough and the worry will spoil what should otherwise be a great weekend.

You can get the morning after pill from a pharmacy beore you go away as a "just in case" measure. You an take it within 72 hours of unprotected sex, but is more likely to be effective if you take it sooner.

So and thanks for your advice lesley, if for arguments sake I have sex on the Friday and something happened, I'd still be covered if I took the morning after pill Sunday evening? Sorry but I'm getting myself into knots thinking I'm going to get pregnant!

Monday evening would be the latest you could take it (72 hrs from having sex) but as I said the reliability decreases the longer you leave it.
