No none from anyone as yet... which is worrying, but then I guess time and space is what they need right now.

Hope all is going wellxxx

When dd had her op,I was only up to talking to very close family, so no news doesn't mean bad news. I think in that situation you are so wrapped up in what is going on it hardly even occurs to you that others are worried to IYSWIM

Hi All - received this yesterday...

Just a quick update to let you know that Sophia came out of her operation at 11am yesterday and is still in intensive care. She was heavily sedated yesterday but they hope to wake her up more today and take the respirator out today. We hope that we may even be back on the ward tonight.

The operation went well and the surgeon is happy that he has successfully closed the holes and that she will recover well.

Once we have more news we will update you all

Thanks to you all for your support, thoughts and prayers

my dd's got a very rare and complicated heart condition. she was very very ill as a baby and was given odds of 30-40% chance of survival. she's 3years old now. has had to have further heart surgery but she's doing very well.

happy to hear the operation went well for sophia (what a beautiful name your friend has given her).

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 25/05/2007 11:27

Glad to hear she got through her surgery. Like kreamkrackers my dd has pretty severe heart problems and spent along time in ICU post-op. Hope Sophia escapes quickly.

Just to update - Operation seems to have gone well, she has been transferred to a ward and seems to be doing well. They hope to be home later this week. Thank you all again for your understanding & reassuring advice.

Thanks for all your support, Sophia is now home and making good progress. My friend said her voice is back and she is very hungry (she is still BF) so thats really good news. I am sure she will be very touched when I introduce her to MN..
Thanks again. x
