has anyone been prescribed oral steriods to treat impetigo?

Have had impetigo on my face for 5 weeks now, I'm so fed up.
Someone told me today that their ds had 2 days of oral steriods to get rid of persitant impetigo. I can't find anything on line about it. has anyone or there dc had this treatment?

My dd was 7 when she had impetigo,
She was presribed a cream to apply.
Worked really quickly.

No, carol3, i think it was Fucidin, which, ithink, is an antibiotic.

Ive had sinusitis now since last october...
had 2 courses corticosteroids....
horrible things but they relieved symptoms briefly!
IT IS depressing though when you can't get rid of it!

I have fusdin ceam know so hopefully it may work I have had three different types of oral antibiotics.
talcyoyo, god thats awful sinusitus is so painful, really feel for you.

hi talcyoyo thanks for asking, yes amazingly it looks much better than yesterday so I think it looks like its finally going thank god, hope your feeling ok.
