Having a scan on Saturday for possible Fibroids - anyone around to reassure me?

Saw the hospital on Tuesday but 'they can't do much without a scan' - which I pointed out when they made the urgent 2 week appointment

So my uterus is largish, firm and very very high - behind my belly button (not sure where it should be)

They will only do a scan on Saturday right? I have plans for the afternoon.....

What happens if it is fibroids? What happens if it isn't?

I'm a bit jittery!

I had a scan for fibroids and they found two. Had a hysteroscopy under general and fibroid section to take it out. Did uterine cancer biopsy but very rare is cancer.

Fibroids don't normally make you feel ill unless you bleed so much you are anemic. Maybe get a blood test for that if you are feeling weak / dizzy.

KatyMac, I had a hysteroscopy under general, and they took out a fibroid. It was fine; no problems at all. They biopsied it, and results were fine; I didn't have to wait long for them.

I have a visible lump
I have referred shoulder pain

I also have gall stones
I'm feeling pretty miserable atm

But this too will pass - thanks

I have a 5cm cyst on my ovary which will be monitored & a 3cm something in my uterus – which might be a fibroid but it’s the wrong shape and it might be scar tissue.

So wait for another appt
