Went to midwife yesterday and said indigestion still getting me down and what can I do Gaviscon Advance does not work anymore - she said have you taken your meds?? - me ooohhhh no doctor said was not lisenced for pregnant women - midwife - er no medicine is it would be slightly unethical to test on pregnant women!!

Me oohhhh can I take it then will it harm DS - Midwife - Noooo won't hurt DS at all he is all there now and is just getting fatter (oohhh a family trait already!!), so yes take it.

Took first tablet at 4pm yesterday and no indigestion - even ate chilli and had glass of coke to really put it to the test and nothing - hoorah I am cured!!

Oh tablets are Ranitidine!! (Slight acidy feel coming back now but am trying to wait till 4pm to take next one so I am only on 1 every 24 hours!!)

I think most meds are only really shown to be harmful in the first three months. Think the general idea is as always, med should only be given to mum if benefits to mum outweigh those to baby. I had awful acid indegestion a few weeks ago, reckon pizza started it off, tried loads of remedies but found that Magnesium trisilicate worked wonders after just 2 doses. Don't think you are 'supposed' to have that either though . I'm following you everywhere today aren't I?!!
