Mixing daily contact lenses

Had my annual contact lens aftercare appt today and the optometrist told me I shouldn't mix their lenses and Daysoft ones (I get 20 pairs a month through their scheme and top up with Daysoft) because it's not good for the eyes to switch them about Hmm

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? I should have asked her why but regret I didn't.

I think you can only take specialist advice but i used daysoft exclusively for years with no problem. I didnt alternate with other brands though. Of course optoms will only recommend use of CLs that they prescribe so that will have something to do with it.
