What are these weird freckles on my toe nail?

As the title says really.
Was just taking my nail varnish off and noticed these freckles on my big toe.

I haven't ever seen them before. The polish had probably been on for a month.

Can't seem to find anything like it on Google images.

Is it fungal? Or should I go and see the doctor?

Did u get to the bottom of the brown freckles on your toe?

You need to get your toe checked out by a GP or dermatologist. A freckle or mole under a toenail or fingernail needs assessing ASAP.

when I removed the nail polish after about a month I observed this.
