I have tailor’s bunions on both feet and am keen on surgery (though my NHS podiatrist said no three years ago - I haven’t asked, or really been back, since).
I want my bunions to go away though, not just get slowly worse!
I generally wear awful - I mean, responsible - footwear, but would really like my old feet back 
Anyone had the surgery? How painful was it? How hard was it to persuade your podiatrist? How long did recovery take? Are your feet “back to normal” now?
