Excessive nighttime urination?

DS (3) always fills two nappies during the night, and the second one usually leaks by morning. Is this normal? We started limiting his before bed drink but it doesn't make that much difference.

My son used to be like this too - nappy always leaking by morning and it didn't matter what we did before bedtime. He's now 4.5 and it's greatly improved (although he's still wet at night and going to be a bedwetter methinks).
I have read somewhere that as children get older the body secretes a hormone at night telling the kidneys to work less diligently so urine output is decreased - I am guessing that's why my DS is now having much drier nappies.

many say it helps them to drink a LOT during the day.... abot a cup full every meal and between every meal.... then try to limit drinks after 6pm... just a few sips of water if genuinely thirsty.

drinking lots in the day helps the ballder get used to coping with lots of fluid in it.

I am glad it isn't abnormal!

I will give the lots of drinking a go and see if it helps.
