Bleeding for more then 3 weeks now. It was only 10 days or so after period. Has anyone got any information when this was nothing?

I've already booked to see gynaecologist in just under 2 weeks

I've had a scan and grown another "follicle" even though I'm bleeding and have no lining. I also had a ruptured cyst in the last days Feb with a washout in First days of March

How can a follicle be there when I'm not ovulating and don't have period?

A small cup of blood in the form of a clot came out on Saturday

I've had a scan by the NHS who did some someone and said that I should probably be refferred to the menstrual clinic.

Is 2 weeks more too long to leave it to see a good consultant? What should I do?

Did this happen to anyone and it was normal?

I am 25 and not over weight at all

I had this and it was an infection, did they take a swab ?

sausagerollsontheside · 31/05/2018 06:37

Yes I've had a swob at the hospital the other day,
Was it an STI? Or another infection? Wondering if this is from my previous laparoscopy?

Stillwishihadabs · 31/05/2018 06:49

Not an STI - something called staph aureus, I did have a coil in though

sausagerollsontheside · 31/05/2018 08:22

I don't have the coil in.
I've been married for almost 4 years
I had an sti check before we got together and when I was pregnant and also last year

I'll be beside myself

Confused' Is there a name change going on here or two posters with the same issues?

How can a follicle be there when I'm not ovulating and don't have period?

But you do have a period- you say you are bleeding all the time.

Isn't a follicle the start and end of ovulation? Ovulation starts to happen right from Day 1 of a cycle - estrogen starts to kick in from Day - day 14 and the follicle grows. Then the lining thickens after ovulation and the bleed happens usually 2 weeks later.

AbigailisFarty · 31/05/2018 08:31

Stop panicking! Nothing awful is going to happen in 2 weeks unless you are bleeding gallons in which case it's A&E. You can get Tranexamic acid (tablets) from Boots to help stop the bleeding.

sausagerollsontheside · 31/05/2018 09:20

Yea I have a few names

It's the gallons I'm not bleeding so this is reassuring

Bodies are scary

I don't know and the nurse practitioner who was a specialist and sonographer said it should really be there as I had no lining and the bleeding isn't coming from where she was sure
I'll ask the gynae
No more mumsnet Orr internet!!

It's confusing to name change in the same thread you started. :)

I don't mean this unkindly but is English your mother tongue? Your posts are really confusing because they read as if they have words missing

I don't know and the nurse practitioner who was a specialist and sonographer said it should really be there [what should be there?] as I had no lining and the bleeding isn't coming from where she was sure [ don't understand this at all- 'the bleeding isn't coming from where she was sure..']????

British and privately educated -

I am a busy person and this is a website for advice and support. Are you a teacher?

What does a username have to with my native language?? Ha ha

I'm bi lingual

sausagerollsontheside · 31/05/2018 11:01

I have no idea why this has offended me but it has.

It's not my period.

It doesn't really matter about my native tongue.

It's abundantly clear from the way that I am posting I am worried.

I have a toddler, I've been bleeding for weeks on end, some times it hurts. I've been anxious about it because I have missed major problems in the past or put my head in the sand about it.

I'm trying to run a busy business and my husband is about to go on a residential course (outing) so I was thinking to try squish this in before he leaves on Sunday if it might be a difficult meeting with a consultant. I don't want to endure any more pain. I have just stopped taking medication which I needed to take for 2.5 years.
I have just had nerves blocked which have been causing me agony for years following a botched procedure when I was pregnant.

I know the post was bad but I meant that I do not have lining in the uterus. So I was told I should not be bleeding. I was also told I should not have a "follicle" if I am not ovulating and do not have lining to the uterus. This was a gynae nurse- I felt rushed and so I didn't ask any more questions.

I feel it is worth being looked into given the clots and so I am going to see someone privately and have booked it for June.

Sometimes nit picking people's posts has no relevance and won't help people who are distressed. Please be kind in your ways.
