Contraception IUD v IUS!?

Having had 2 DCs am wondering what to do about contraception. Want something long term with little hassle as possible. I'm a bit worried about taking the pill as whenever I have taken it, it makes me moody and headachey.

I have spoken to the family planning clinic but was a bit alarmed when they told me how they fit coils (they reach in with a speculum and 'pinch' your cervix then you feel period like cramps apparently - eeeuuuw!) I was also put off with the talk of getting acne and heavy periods...

So - anyone with experience to share on coils? (Sorry to be so blunt, but not sure who else to ask!)

Re the coil there are 2 types the mirena and the non hormonal, I have had both, but you really need to read this about the mirena and post on there too
