Shortness of breath 5 weeks pregnant

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experienced shortness of breath in early pregnancy? I'm 5 + 5. The past few days I've really struggled to get my breath. Also it's giving my the shakes. I spoke to the doctor this morning and he says there is nothing to worry about and I just need to put up with it. I suffer with Asthma and my inhaler just doesn't touch it. I am wondering if this is just a pregnancy symptom that will eventually go away or should I push for a 2nd opinion? The only other pregnancy symptom I have is tender breast apart for that I feel nothing. With my 1st pregnancy I was sick from 4 weeks. So this feeling is completely new to me. Anyone else suffer with this or can offer any advice?

Did he really say that!? It's a well known symptom of iron shortage OP! Make an appointment and ask for a blood test immediately! It can be quite dangerous if left to get worse.

I know because I got that way myself.
