Feeling of lump in throat when swallowing

For the past week I’ve had a sore throat which is particularly sore at night. No other cold/flu symptoms.
Since Thursday I’ve also had the feeling when I swallow that there is a lump at the bottom of my throat. I don’t have any problems swallowing, it’s just really uncomfortable when I do.

I’m not a smoker and haven’t had indigestion/heartburn before, except in pregnancy

Does anyone know what this might be?

Could be tonsil stones. Have a look using a torch. They look like little white spots on your tonsils and can be squeezed out using a cotton bud (or I use a blackhead removal hook)

Acid reflux. See your GP for a short course of Omeprazole.

Sounds like Globus......I think Globus is related to anxiety !!!! See your GP for reassurance x

Thank you so much, I must admit I didn’t want to Google, not that I’m health anxious but a few bad scenarios were running through my head.
Took a few photos of my tonsils and couldn’t spot anything so don’t think it’s tonsil stones
Reflux is a definite possibility and/or anything related to anxiety (had a v stressful week last week and my work appraisal today). Anyway, I have been careful with what I eat and the appraisal went ok and I’m fairly sure the lump is a lot less prominent. If it doesn’t shift I’ll see the GP.
Thanks again

As ice said it's possibly Globus. That's just a feeling of a lump when there is nothing there. Usually related to stress and anxiety - I ha e had my stress lump on and off for over 20 years and only very recently realised it had a name!

I think the feeling of a lump and a sore throat does suggest acid reflux. You could try Gaviscon.

Reflux! You can buy Nexium over the counter for it.
