Extremely dry skin on chin and around the nose

Hi everyone
A few days ago I woke up with a bit of a red dry patch on the left side of my face (under my lip), the next morning it’s spread to my whole chin and around the sides of my nose. Really red, dry, scaly sandpaper like skin, feeling very tight. I don’t recall using any new cosmetics or eating anything out of the ordinary. Earlier this year I had what I diagnosed as perioral dermatitis (same place on the chin but with small raised itchy bumps). After trying to use fucidin (prescribed by my gp- did nothing), apple cider vinegar - dried the skin out I finally read somewhere people had success with canesten as it’s used to treat fungal infections. I was desperate and tried it - and it worked! Literally overnight.
I tried it this time around but I don’t see much improvement. I’m using Avene cicalfate and I’ve noticed a bit of improvement (skin started peeling so I scrubbed it gently) but it’s still red, dry and tight. To top it off my upper lip is now extremely dry and has tiny bumps on it. I’m at my wits end as my skin now burns even with the cream on it. I will try to go to a gp but after last time I have little faith. I took an antihistamine just in case it is an allergic reaction. Did anyone here experience anything similar?

Could it be cold sore this time? Go see a pharmacist, they might be able to help.
Coconut oil is great for dry skin...

After reading a bit online I figured out what’s causing my skin to sting and burn! On Friday evening I got the Cerave hydrating cleanser and ever since my skin just got worse but because it’s dermatologist recommended I didn’t connect the dots. Obviously I’m not using it anymore. How do I soothe my skin now?
