Big difference in blood pressure between arms - should I be worried?

I’ve been checking my blood pressure at home with a machine from Boots as instructed by the GP (seem to have developed white coat syndrome) and have noticed there’s usually 15-20 points difference between arms (left higher). Now I’ve scared myself by googling it and reading that such a large difference can be linked to furred up arteries in the side of the body with a higher reading Shock. I will mention it next time I find myself needing to see a GP, but does anyone have any words of reassurance in the meantime??

Why instructed by GP?

I had mine take 3x in a 2.5 hour space recently (always right arm). It ranged from 114/70-something to 129/78. You tell me why. I feel fine so don't see a need to get an official opinion.

My bp is quite high when I see the doctor, but I told him I think it is normally fine, just goes up when I’m there due to a number of factors. He asked me to monitor it at home and come back if it was still high as I would need to change/come off my pill. I’m mainly worried because I stupidly googled it and it said some scary stuff (plus my dad was only a year older than me when he had a heart attack so I guess I’m slightly nervous about that). Your readings are lower than mine.. I need to get mine down (in both arms ideally Wink)
