Specific Questions re Mooncup and Prolapse

This is for F&Z and anyone else who may be able to help. I REALLY want a mooncup as fed up of the ridiculous leakage from super plus tampax. This is TMI but, can the mooncup really contain everything, even from the 'larger' fanjo? When you talk about 'breaking the seal' I am worried that my fanjo is past this seal and will be rather like, to quote an old Lancashire expression "throwing a sausage up a ginnel" a ginnel, for the un-initiated is an alleyway.
Also I have a uterine prolapse, with a ring pessary in situ to help it stay where it should be (was 26 and size 10, so yes it does happen) could the prolapse fight against the mooncup as it does with tampax? Again TMI, but I can insert one and it can turn itself upside down, NICE!!!!! I emailed the mooncup people over about 18 months ago and they said they would refund me if not suitable.
Has anyone had similar problems and overcome them with the mooncup? Hope so, thanks.

no advice but lots of sympathy. i think you should try it and go for the refund if it doesn't work out.

I would take them up on the three month offer of a refund if I were you. I love mine, but it doesn't suit everyone. If it doesn't suit you, get your money back and you haven't lost anything.

Bumping for you...

i have a prolaspe, couldnt use tampons, same reason as you as it would turn itself upside down. dont ahve a ring pessery, but need to see GP about it again as have had another child since.

mooncup is fine IMO. best thing ever. just make sure its inserted as far as is comfortable, and if you do feel it shift then go and sort it out. tbh it rarely moves and dont have anywhere near as many leaks that i had with tampons.

Thanks Misdee, thats great news. Will give it a try on your recommendation then.
